I am a queer, Gambian poet from Olathe, Kansas who has been writing poetry since 2014. I am also the 2019 Poetry Out Loud Kansas State Champion and got the opportunity to represent my state in Washington, D.C.I have been featured in literary magazines and journals like the African Writer Magazine, the Cow Creek Review, Exist Otherwise, and more.I am a Pittsburg State University and Sigma Tau Delta society alum and am currently working towards my MFA in creative writing.
